Being a paparazzi is not an easy task, especially for two consecutive days.
But well, everything went well and its worthwhile as it was my dream to catch these lads in person and actually taking photos and talk to them face to face!
Due to family gathering in Genting Highlands on 28th, was unable to attend the Ballack autograph session in Pavillion. But yeah, no worries for me as i’m still able to catch the lads in action during their 6pm training session @ Stadium Shah Alam.
Why am i able to go for the training session? It is because i got the training pass from my club for attending the closed door training session.
Quite excited to attend the training session but actually its quite a boring session. Quite a number of fans turn up, about 5000 maybe? Sitting there waiting for the player to come out and even thou they’re out, the distance were too far for me to recognize them actually. What a boring session because the players were just train among themselves. A lot of cheering and shouting when those big shots player came out from the dressing room such as Lampard, Joe Cole and the captain, John Terry.

ChelseaTV screening
One of the player coming out
Chat with a few members that sitting nearby and one of them actually come out with a good idea,
Me “Do you think its possible for us to get autograph and take photos with them?”
Him “Well, Impossible is nothing (wtf stop copying the Adidas slogan), we can go their hotel and try our luck maybe?”
And yes, 5 of us ended up at The Palace of the Golden Horses where all the Chelsea squad staying.
Waited there for half an hour and yes, we do saw some player walking in and out, accompanied by a few securities, trying to stop the fans from going near the player. But yeah, who cares? As long the player is happy to entertain us, why shall the securities stops us?
Saw quite a number of players going down from the lift heading to the lounge for a drink. Even the club’s CEO were there too! Took a pic with him and there’s more to go. I’ve met the three goalkeepers Cech, Cudicini and Hilario. And also a few players such as Di Santo, Paulo Ferriera and Deco. I’ve also met Scolari the manager and Steve Clarke. Got most of their signature on my jersey. Damn excited wei, talk to them in person and shake their hands.
Standing in front the Chelsea Lounge showing off my jersey with full of signature
However, quite disappointed because I only managed to get two photos that night, one with the CEO and one with the right back, Paulo Ferriera.
With Ferriera in the hotel bar.
Ferriera was the only player that talk to me for quite some time. And yeah, he is one hell funny guy. Actually i didn’t notice that he sitting on the couch until he turn to the back and so happened i was behind, as you can see from the picture. I was waiting for Cudicini for signing my jersey and the moment he turn back, he look at me and showing me some stupid face. I called his name and he ask me not to call him Ferriera, but Ferrari.
He then continue asking am i local and telling me that he likes this place. I tell him i like him a lot and asking him not to leave Chelsea despite there’s some stiff competition for his position. He then assured me that he will stay and fight for it.
There’s one part of the conversation where he point towards Hilario that sitting beside him saying that Hilario is a gay we both actually laugh out loud while Hilario rolled his eyes. Hahaha, wtf man.
Ferriera is damn friendly i tell you, i actually asked him whether i can take picture with him and he grabbed my camera and trying to take our photo himself. I was like no no no, ask someone else to do it cause i doubt with his camera skill and he start roll his eyes like a kid lol. He passed the camera to Hilario and i actually climb up the wall and take photos with him (as you can see from the picture). The security guards was down there pulling my leg asking me to go down but heck cares about him, Ferriera wants to take photo with me, who cares about securities man?
Cudicini talked to me in Italian but how the heck i suppose to know Italian? I politely tell him that i don’t understand Italian and he talked to me in English. I asked him some sensitive question and i actually thought that he would be angry but in fact, he answered me in a well manner too. My question was “Do you mind playing as a backup man for Petr and continue to stay in the club?” His answer is “Yeah why not? I’m comfortable with the current situation i’m looking forward to play under the new manager. I’m actually stayed in England for 5 years already and i’m happy with my current life”
I’m actually glad to hear him said so because he is one of the top goalkeeper in the premier league and it would always be good for the club having a world class second feeder for every position to make sure that the reds would not stand a chance when Cech is having problem.
There’s one funny part of the story when Scolari suddenly appeared in the bar. Di Santo and Hilario were so fucking scared and run back to their room. I asked Ferriera what happened that make them scared and he told me that actually the new manager does not allow their player to come out from the room after 11pm. I was like, wtf? 11pm? Its only 11pm wor? And yeah “why are you not leaving then?”, i asked Paulo, he rolled his eyes again and say because he is buddy of Scolari because he is Portugese and Scolari was the national team coach before joining Chelsea. LOL, what a funny guy he is. And not to forget he is damn friendly!
There’s one part where i’m not really happy with one particular player which is Deco. We saw him coming out from the lift and wanted to get his signature. But he was so mean and say no to us, even though the pen and paper/jersey is right in front of him. What the heck, you’re new here and you start showing us how mean you are. Even Cech and Cudicini dare not to reject our request man! Sigh…
Hang around the hotel until 1130pm and we decided that we shall call it a day. Stay tune for next day as there would be more pics and stories!
